Dennis Larry Smith

Dennis L. “Dink” Smith, 81, of Guilford County died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 21, 2022 at Guilford Memorial Park.

Dink was born in Guilford County to the late Herman and Annie Smith. He had a long career with VF Corporation that was formerly known as Blue Bell when he started.

Dennis is preceded in death by his son, Danny Smith and his brothers, Reid, James “JC”, and Harry “Hoope” Smith.

He is survived by his son, Dean Smith (Julie); grandchildren, Darren Smith and Heather Smith; siblings, Elizabeth “Polly” Parrish, Regina Lamonds (Roger), Leon Smith, and Tom Smith (Carol); sister-in-law, Deloris Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Randolph Hospice House, 446 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.

The family would like to thank the staff at Randolph Hospice House for the excellent care and compassion shown to Dink.
