Donald Grayson Pruitt

Mr. Donald Grayson Pruitt, 69, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at his home with his mother by his side. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at George Brothers Funeral Service. Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by his father, Robert Pruitt; and son, Robert Grayson Pruitt. Donald loved the outdoors! In his younger years if he wasn’t working his job as a lineman, you could always find him on the water fishing or in his deer stand. He looked forward to opening day of deer season like a little boy on Christmas Day, and spent countless nights around a fire barrel surrounded by friends at his hunt club at Badin Lake. That is where he was happiest. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Meyer; grandchildren, Grayson and Jordan; mother, Joan Mills; daughter-in-law, Hannah Pruitt; half-brother, Michael Pruitt (Susan); dear family friends, Vince and Velma Loy; best friend, Inocensio Patino; and a host of other family and friends whom he loved. The family would like to extend a very heart-felt “Thank You” to Hospice for all of the care and love that they provided Don in recent months and to honor them the family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to your local Hospice.
