Doris Mae (Wilhoit) Springs

Doris Mae Wilhoit Springs went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday night, February 19, 2020 at 8:45 PM.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

 Doris worked in retail at Silvers Five and Dime. She then was a textile worker with Burlington Industries and J. P. Stevens (Carter Fabrics). Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-three years, Brantley B. Springs; her father, Delma M. Wilhoit; her mother, Lizzie Cornelia Smith Wilhoit. She was also preceded n death by her brothers, Eldon, Norman, and Babe Wilhoit along with her sister, Louise Jones.

Doris is survived by her son and pastor, Jackie Springs and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Dustin (Dusty) Springs and fiancé Andi Henderson, Brantley (BJ) Springs, Christine Springs and fiancé Dylan Honeycutt, Valarie Mae Springs and Jonathen Dennis, Shania Faith Springs and Stephanie; one great grandchild, Triniti Neveah Dennis. She is also survived by her brothers, Harvey Wilhoit and wife, Ruby, Clifford (Bull) Wilhoit, Ruby Wilhoit, and Judy Wilhoit.

Flowers are welcome, but memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses or to Sonlight Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC.
