Dorothy Peeples Curlee, 83, of Greensboro, passed away May 5, 2020, at Clapp’s Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Because of the current Stay At Home order and to stay withing regulations, Ms. Curlee will lie in state on Friday from 10am to 3pm for those that wish to go by and pay their respects.
She was born December 3, 1936 in Guilford County, to the late Burty and Ella Peeples. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church and was retired from Rexham. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Allen Cook and Leslie Cook; grandson, Robert Coleman, Jr. and her brother, Donald Peeples.
She is survived by her daughter, Jewel Fargis (Keith) of Randleman and her son, Bobby Cook, Jr. (Lynn Roberts) of Greensboro; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and her sisters, Jo Lassiter of Hazel Green, Alabama and Glenda Fogleman of Climax.
Memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Mrs. Curlee's service will be streamed live at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9.
