Edna Mae Mathis Wagoner, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at The Shannon Gray Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021at Oakview Baptist with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.
Edna was born July 16, 1930 in Surry County to the late Joel Franklin and Mary Lillie Weatherman Mathis. She was a member of Oakview Baptist Church in High Point.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Wagoner; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Collins; a grandson, Aric Naylor; 3 sisters, Mary Lou Vanhoy, Sadie Totten, and Opal Brown; and 2 brothers, Paul Mathis and Junior Mathis.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Barker (Danny); son-in-law, Cecil Collins; 7 grandchildren, Scott Naylor (Jamie), Shelley Hankins (Clint), Jesse Barker, Ashley Brewington (Jonathon), Christal Forrest (Jimmy), Russell Collins (Leslie) and Chris Collins (Clarice); and 12 great grandchildren.
