Ernest B. Marshall

Mr. Ernest B. Marshall, 86, of McLeansville, passed away on March 20, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Ernest was born in Stokes County, NC on July 29, 1934, to the late Oscar and Sadie Fulk Marshall. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Joyce Marshall. They went on several mission trips together including Haiti and Puerto Rico. Ernest was retired from Lorillard after 40 years of service and was a United States Army Korean War era Veteran. Ernest was known for his sense of humor and love of practical jokes.

He is survived by his daughter, Toni Tickle (Kenny); grandchildren, Bailey Sample (Donald) and Sydney Parrott (Brian); great grandchild, Jonah Marshall Sample; brother, Larry Marshall (Becky); sisters, Hulda Campbell (JC) and Gloria Collins and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hugh McAbee (Janie).
