Elizabeth “Estelle” Cook Gamble went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at George Brothers Funeral Service. Family visitation will be 10am -11:00am prior to the service. Burial to follow at Centre Friends Church.
Estelle was an owner and manager of Gamble MHP where she made many life long friends.
Estelle was a member of Grace Baptist Temple where she sang in the choir, took part in programs and sang solos. She was very active in weekly Bible Study and often took part in special events. When Estelle was no longer able to attend church she would host old fashioned “cottage meetings” in her home with singing, preaching, and fellowship. She was the “Church Nana” to all, young and old alike, a role she cherished.
Estelle loved to travel, she enjoyed the beach. She loved to garden and she could grow anything. She loved being outdoors working in her garden. She also loved NASCAR. Of all the many things Estelle accomplished in life, her most loved accomplishment was becoming a grandmother, and an amazing Nana she was. She cherished the times she rocked and sang them to sleep, read stories, played games or helped teach them to ride their bikes, her favorite was spoiling them with love, kindness, protection, and pride including her “secret stash” of honey buns and cookies. And they adored her!
Estelle leaves behind large loving family to cherish her memory. She is survived by her sons and wives Mike and Shauna Gamble. Greg and Stephanie Gamble. Grandchildren Cameron, Cailee and Cason Gamble, Robby Hunter, Janie (Matt) Hawkins, Cierra (Edward) Pankowski, Annalea Kimball. Great-grandchildren Bobby Hunter, Anna, Matthew, and Luke Hawkins, Heavenlee Williams, Nora Pankowski. Her brother Charles (Lib) Cooke and host nieces and nephews.
Estelle was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill Gamble. Parents Emma and Roy Cooke. In-laws Faye and Buster Gamble. Sister Jewel Smith. Brother James Cooke.
Estelle will be greatly missed, her legacy of love, kindness, compassion, and her love for her family will be cherished until we meet again.
We love you, Nana.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers for the kindness, compassion, and friendship given to Estelle.
