Faxon Candler Obituary
Mr. Faxon David Candler, 83, went to heaven Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Greenview Cemetery in Reidsville, NC with Rev. Tommy Vogler officiating.
Faxon was born October 13, 1934 in Rockingham County to the late Faxon Douglas and Inez Echols Candler. After serving his country in the US Army, he was employed by the VA Hospital in Salisbury. He was an award-winning composer and player of classical music. He majored in Physics at Guilford College and was a member of North Main Street Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Candler Soyars.
Survivors include his sister, Brenda Candler Nichols of Greensboro; his nephews and nieces, Patrick Nichols, Randy Rayeburn, Carmen Soyars, Stacey Soyars and Elizabeth (Beth) Soyars Januzys.
