Geneva Mae (Bowman) Burroughs

Mrs. Geneva Bowman Burroughs, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday June 6, 2025, at the Randolph Hospice Home in Asheboro.

A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday at Gospel Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00pm -2:00pm Monday at the church.

Mrs. Burroughs was born in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Davis and Manie Puckett Bowman.  She was a faithful member of Gospel Baptist Church where she served wherever she was needed.  She enjoyed many hobbies including gardening in her yard, traveling, and camping with her husband.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Floyd Wilson Burroughs; great-great-grandchild, Kohen; son Vince Burroughs; brother Leo Bowman; sisters Violet Marshall, Bessie Shore, and Pearly Bowman.

She is survived by her daughters Linette Williams and Karen Haley (Mike); daughter-in-law Gina Burroughs; grandchildren Crystal, Matt, Tyler, and Cori; great-grandchildren Haleigh, Liliana, Deegan, Milania, and Spencer; great-great grandchildren Grayson and Ava.

In honor of Mrs. Burroughs, memorial contribution may be directed to Gospel Baptist Church, 5945 N. Church St. Greensboro, NC  27455 or to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Dr. Asheboro, NC 27203.
