Gilbert "Gib" Patille

Mr. Gilbert “Gib” Patille, age 62, went Home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday April 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at Alamance Regional Hospital in Burlington, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at Community Baptist Church Family Life Center. A burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Wednesday at Community Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Gib was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all. A native of Greensboro, he was born to the late Harry and Faye Freeman Patille, Sr.  He was a 1981 graduate of Ben L. Smith High School and was employed with Clark Power, as a diesel mechanic, for forty-four years.  He was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, choir member, and anywhere else he could show the love of Christ.  He always loved spending time with family and friends, but most of all he enjoyed spending time fishing with his grandchildren and playing golf with his son and his buddy Greg Moser.

In addition to his parents, Gib was preceded in death by an infant grandchild Jesse Patille; sister Becky Bennett; brother Harry Patille, Jr, and niece Janell Patille.

Gib is survived by his loving wife, of forty years, Kathy Patille; children Tiffany Fairing and husband Jonathan and Rev. Ethan Patille and wife Sarah. He was adored by his three grandchildren Noah Fairing, Daniel Fairing, and Abby Patille. Also surviving is a nephew Brandon Patille and niece Melanie Hunter.
