Glen Ray Comer, 65, of Greensboro, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2026, while surrounded by his loving wife and family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor J. R. Gossett officiating.
Glen was born in Guilford County on December 12, 1960. He is embraced in Heaven by his mother, Betty Hatfield; his daughter, Dana Blevins; brother-in-law, Michael Burke; and his special girl, Sara 'Boo' Sims.
Glen is survived and will be missed dearly by his wife, Shelia Comer; sons, Buck Comer (Bev) and Dusty Comer; eleven grandchildren - Kylie, Sam, Cody, Hailee, Mason, Julie, Ariel, Andy, Ken, Jordyn and Brayden; one great-grandchild, Braxton; sister-in-law, Vickie Weaver (Jimmie); nephews, Brandon Weaver and Justin Weaver(Jessie), and great-nephew, Chayce. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Alma Burke, whom he loved dearly and who always said Glen could fix anything in the world.
Glen loved life and lived it to the fullest. Go-Kart racing was a passion of his. He also loved riding motorcycles with his buddies, fishing, and riding horses. What he loved most was helping others. He gave selflessly, often at his own expense, and was never more than a phone call away.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Mike Simmons, a dear friend for many, many years, who did not miss a day of going to see Glen in his final weeks on this earth.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to Les Den, whom Glen thought of as a little brother, and wife Angie, who were by his side throughout his entire journey. Your presence and devotion during his final months will never be forgotten.
A special place in Glen's heart was held by Patsy Hodge, whom he loved like a daughter.
The family also thanks all of his many dear friends and family for your calls, texts, visits, and prayers throughout his final journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice Home at High Point at 1803 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27265.
