Glenda Frances (Nunn) Powell

Mrs. Glenda Frances Nunn Powell, 76, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Richard Nunn officiating.  Entombment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park

Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Nunn.

Glenda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who truly loved and cared for her family.  She loved to entertain and socialize with her family and dear friends.  She was a graduate of Sumner High school Class of 1967, worked for many years at Wesley Long Memorial Hospital, and also worked at The Farmer’s Market in Greensboro where she loved to meet new and different people and talk to all who visited the market.  She loved spoiling her 2 dogs, Cookie and Daisy.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Harvey Powell; daughter, Sharon Holt (Steve); son, Thomas Gossett (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Kris, Dillon, and Chris; great-grandchildren, Laynie, Kali, Brantlee, Greyson, and Oaklyn; brother, Wayne Nunn (Andrea); and a host of family and friends whom she loved.

The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00-1:45 prior to the service.
