Obituary
Mrs. Gloria Wetmore Muir, 75, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2023 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
There will be a private memorial gathering at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janie Elizabeth Wetmore.
Gloria was a “crazed” Carolina Tarheel fan, but really enjoyed watching all types of sports. She especially enjoyed watching the Carolina Hurricanes with Ron. She loved her family dearly, including her large extended family. She was an avid reader and could often be found sitting on the front porch reading the latest James Patterson book.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ron Muir; son, Jason Roberts (Jennifer); step-daughters, Elaine Miller (Eric), Susan Barham (Leonard), Sandy Elliott (Jay), and Cindy Creed (Greg); step-grandchildren, Emily, Deanna, Melissa, Josh, Lance, Lynnsey, Meagan, Taylor, and Zach; step-great-grandchildren, Everett, Roan, Maris, and Hayven; as well as numerous other family and friends whom she loved.
