Gracie "Dottie" Brim Jones

Gracie (Dottie) Brim Jones 86, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, December 6, 2024, at Claire Bridge Memory Care Center at Brookdale Senior Living. She was born in Surry County on October 10, 1938, to the late Raleigh Pinckney (Dillard) and Grace Mertin McDaniel Brim of Pilot Mountain.  She loved dealing with the public, which lead her to work as a medical assistant in the chiropractic field. But, without question, being a mother was her most cherished responsibility. Gracie was of the Christian faith and a former member of the Greensboro Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, six sisters, and her oldest son, James Gregory Marshall.

She is survived by her husband, Robert William Jones. A sister, Sue Beck, of Apple Valley, California.  Daughter, Victoria Marshall Clegg (Neill), sons Jeffrey Harold Marshall (Chris), Gary Swanson Marshall (Carla) and daughter Lisa Marshall. Six amazing grandchildren that she was immensely proud of: Kristen Marshall Bridges, Birmingham, Alabama, Rebecca Marshall Weeks, Burlington, NC, Colby Marshall, Pleasant Garden, NC, Zack Marshall, Pleasant Garden, NC, Mayson Marshall Siler, Stokesdale. NC, and Tyler Owensby, Asheville, NC. Five great grandchildren, Gabe Bridges, Montevallo, Alabama, Eli Marshall, Maddie Marshall, Pleasant Garden, NC, Marshall Hall, Abram Hall, Burlington, NC

At Gracie's request there will not be a funeral service, but a Celebration of Her Life at a future date.

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at Claire Bridge Memory Care Center, especially Sylvia, Summer, Maxie and Chiquetta, your loving care of our Mother will never be forgotten. Hospice angels, Emily, Kelly, and Carmen.
