Grady Sanford LaMarr

Mr. Grady Sanford LaMarr went home to be with his Savior and Lord peacefully at his home on April 8, 2026.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 10, 2026, at McLeansville Baptist Church. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until 2:00pm prior to the service.

Mr. LaMarr was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Tina LaMarr; his loving wife of 65 years, Dixie LaMarr and his daughters, Sandra Faith LaMarr, Susan LaMarr Mitchell and granddaughter, Christy Duggins. He was the last surviving member of 11 siblings. 

Mr. LaMarr was a faithful member of McLeansville Baptist Church where he was a deacon for 54 years and along side of his wife, Dixie, ministered with “The Young Christian Voices”. He was always faithful to share his faith and the gospel with those people that God put in his daily path and always gave credit to the grace and goodness of God for the blessings in his life. He was a jack of all trades but worked mainly in the heating and air conditioning field for Honeywell from which he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, but his greatest pleasure was in serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Cyndee Shaw (Charlie); son, Grady Sanford (Buddy) LaMarr Jr. (Julia); daughter, Lysa Davis (Tim); grandchildren, Victor, Chris, DeAfton, Jason, Blake, Megan, Jonathan, Collin, Brooke, Heather, Ethan, Bradley and Eryn and 18 great grandchildren, along with many of his heart adopted children that he loved and mentored from his church faith family over the years.
