Harold Morgan Bennett, 90, of Greensboro died Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Adam’s Farm Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2025 at George Brothers Funeral Service.
Harold was born in Chester County, SC to the late Horace and Elizabeth Bennett. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He went on to retire from Duke Energy after thirty-five years of service. In June of 1987, Harold and Joyce were married in Hawaii. Following his retirement, Harold & Joyce remained busy traveling, helping family & friends, spending time with grandchildren, and volunteering with Duke Retirees. Their extended time with friends at Myrtle Beach was always a special time for them. Harold also enjoyed playing golf and watching many sporting events including Duke Basketball & NASCAR.
Along with his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Turner; brothers, Clingmon and Ralph Bennett; and grandson, Brad Parrish.
Harold is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Wayne Bennett (Joan); daughter, Kathy Bennett; stepdaughters, Patricia Parrish (Ray) and Robin Pearson; grandchildren, Christina Crutcher (Matt), Josh Parrish, Rachel Convey (Kenan), Lauren Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, and Krstn Gearheart (Jesse); and great grandchildren, Max Parrish, Izzy Parrish, Eva Parrish, Dax Parrish, Wylder and Axel Convey.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
