Harold Benston Danley, 85, died Monday, January 16, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Harold was born May 1, 1937 in Surry county to the late George Berkley and Nonnie Potts Danley. He served in the National Guard and retired from Gilbarco after 40 years of service. He was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann McIntyre Danley; brothers, Eldon “Bob” Danley and Bennie Danley; sister Doris Danley.
Harold is survived by his son, Brian Lee Danley and wife Lucy Rose Danley; sister, Bonnie Faucette; grandchildren, Rebecca Loggins Beane and Rachel Loggins; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Bailee, and Caleb Beane; nephews, Mark and Matt Danley, and Chad McIntyre; nieces, Jennifer Christensen, Mandy Stevens, and Chanel McIntyre; brother and sisters-in-laws, Mary Beth Danley, and Wayne and Sharon McIntyre; many great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in the Family Life Center at Rehobeth United Methodist Church.
