Harold David Edmonds, 94, of Greensboro went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2021 at Pennybyrn Retirement Community.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Gilmore Memorial Park Julian, NC with Reverend David B. Crabtree officiating.
Harold was born March 6, 1926 in Mayodan, NC. He was a Military Veteran and served in the US Air Force during WWII. Harold later moved to Greensboro and became self-employed as the owner and operator of Edmonds Paint Company.
Harold was faithful to his calling and he loved God with all his mind, heart, and soul. He also dutifully loved and cherished his family, teaching them the ways of the Lord and praying faithfully for each one. During his lifetime, Harold spent countless hours leading and serving through the years as deacon, teacher, and mentor. He was a Charter Member of Calvary Church in Greensboro and a member of Aycock Fellowship Ministries.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Samuel Edmonds; six siblings; and his beloved wife of sixty-nine years, Mary “Lib” Edmonds. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Keith) Hobson; son Jeff Edmonds (Robin); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
