Harold Dean Stone

Harold Dean Stone, 85, of Greensboro, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2026 at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Harold was a graduate of Rankin High School and a graduate of the Greensboro Bible Institute. He faithfully attended church until his health failed. Through the years, he served as Sunday school teacher, youth director, bus driver, deacon and lay preacher. Harold proudly served his country with the United States Navy from 1959-1963, Sonarman 2nd class.

Harold is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha H. Stone; and siblings, Douglas M. Stone, Rachel Crabtree, Eris Culbreth, Eloise Blake, and Carol Stone.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Christopher Stone (Lisa), Jeff Stone (Carolyn), Matthew Stone (Beth), and Renee Stone LaVergne (John); grandchildren, Monroe Stone, Hannah Stone, Caleb Stone, Joshua Stone, Grant Stone, Hamilton Stone, Kate Stone, and Sarah Killion.
