Helen Meadows Loflin, 93, of Liberty died Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Wesley Long Community Hospital.
Funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberty. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, also in Liberty.
Helen was a long-time resident of Liberty where she was instrumental in restoring the Patterson Cottage, a Liberty landmark. She also served her community as a volunteer with the Liberty Bargain Shop, the Liberty Association of Churches foodbank and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church for over sixty-five years where she previously served on the church council and altar guild. She was an artist, a gardener, a poet and bird watcher.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Deborah L. Hardin (Tommy) of Forest Oaks and Marilyn Loflin (Jeff) of Liberty; granddaughter and light of her life, Michelle Loflin Huffman (Tommy) of Wilmington; brother, Carroll Meadows (Linda) of Thomasville; sister, Marty Ward (John) of Randleman; sister-in-law, Doretha Meadows of Ramseur.
