Mr. Jack Goodwin, age 83, went Home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday December 18, 2024, at Clapp’s Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden.
A funeral service will be held, in the sanctuary of Community Baptist Church, at 3:00pm Sunday with Rev. Chris Davis and Rev. J.R. Gossett officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm -3:00pm Sunday in the Community Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Mr. Goodwin was born, in Guilford County, to the late James and Emma Martin Goodwin. He was the owner/operator of Jack Goodwin Plumbing, a member of the Rockingham Gun Club, and a longtime member of Community Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two sons Brian Goodwin and Kevin Goodwin; brother Larry Goodwin
Jack is survived by his loving wife, of twenty-eight years, Shirley Osborne Goodwin; children Donald Torrie, Tina Roberts, and Angelina Lanier; sister Nancy Tate (Charles); brothers Harry Goodwin, Ricky Goodwin (Janice), and Don Goodwin (Linda). Also surviving are three grandchildren Aaron Torrie, Victoria Torrie, and Adam Roberts.
