Mrs. Jacqueline Craven Flournoy, 84, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away early Sunday morning, November 7, 2021 at The Randolph Hospice House.
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew Baten officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Flournoy was born January 27, 1937 in Randolph County to the late Lawrence Pryor and Eddie Mae York Craven. Jacqueline was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. She loved her family and was always there for them regardless of the reason. She loved the beach and the sun, bowling and was administrator for the Youth Bowling League. Planning her Randleman High School class reunions was something she enjoyed tremendously.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard “Rick” Waverly Flournoy, Sr. and a great granddaughter, Hadley Flournoy.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard Waverly Flournoy, Jr. (Nancy) of Denton, and Tim Flournoy (Kristi) of Cary, IL; grandchildren, Eric (Ashley), Ryan (Kelly), Madelyn, Aubrey and Caden Flournoy; great grandchildren, Jaycie, Davis, Addison and Lynnley; a brother, Colvin Craven; a sister, Patricia Byrd; a “brother cousin”, Jon Forrest and a “sister cousin”, Jane Doutt.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
