James Fred Fields, Jr.

Mr. James “Jimmy” Fred Fields, Jr., 80, of Greensboro, passed away on August 27, 2021, at the Hospice Home at High Point.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday at Centre Friends Meeting Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Sunday at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Mr. Fields was born on May 31, 1941, in Guilford County to the late James and Iris Oliver Fields and previously operated Fields Furniture Store.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Jean Gamble Fields; children, Karen Fields Short (Adam), James “Butch” Fields, III (Pam), Lisa Fields Boyles and Randall “Randy” J. Fields (Lisa); nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Jackie Hiatt; brothers, Doug Fields and Dan Fields (Etta) and his beloved dog, “Petie” and his beloved cat, “Skinny”.
