James "Wayne" Holt

Mr. James “Wayne” Holt, 67, of Greensboro, passed away on November 9, 2024, at his home while surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Lebanon Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Smith and Pastor Marvin Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Wayne was born in Rockingham County on January 2, 1957, to the late James and Helen Holt. For 42 years he enjoyed driving a truck for the postal service. Wayne had an infectious laugh and a zest for life. He loved his family and friends and was quick to offer a helping hand. He enjoyed golfing and traveling as often as he could.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Holt; children, Rodney Holt (Cari), Brandy Beal (Todd), Tammy Swaney (Jim) and Ronnie Brown (Julie); grandchildren, Lilly Holt, Kennedy Holt, Garrett Holt, Bridgette Clubb (Noah), Danny Beal, Mason Beal, Courtney James (Josh) and Jackson Brown; great grandchildren, Everleigh Clubb, Wyatt James and Olivia James; brother, Michael Holt (Lesa); nephew, Wes Holt (TJ); sisters-in-law, Cathy Griffith (Billy), Cindy Brown (Dana), Trina Cartwright (Star) and Christie Vickery (Wayne).
