Mr. James Lamberth Long, 85, of Greensboro, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Authoracare Collective Beacon Place.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Lake Brandt Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating.
Mr. Long was born in Guilford County, NC to the late Aubrey James and Selma Roberts Long. He was a member of Lake Brandt Baptist Church and former member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Regardless of where he attended, Lamberth was sure to be volunteering his time and talents for the church. He was a faithful and active member in numerous capacities over the years. He retired from AMP Inc. with over 40 years of service as a tool and die maker. In his spare time, Lamberth was an avid hunter, enjoyed walking his dogs, and cherished time spent with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Ann Tippett Long; brother Kenneth Long; and son-in-law Doug Hasty.
Mr. Long is survived by his children Elizabeth Kim Hasty, Tracy Stevens (Josh), Robin Moore (Rick), and Lonnie Hubbard (Sheryl). Also surviving are his grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer (Alec), Jared (Anna), Morgan, Rebekah, Kaitlyn, and Cameron; great-grandchild Nora; and his sister Brenda Long.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to Lake Brandt Baptist Church.
