James "Barry" Pierce

Mr. James “Barry” Pierce, age 67, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at his residence.

A public  graveside service will be 2:00pm Thursday at Guilford Memorial Park with Pastor Chris Davis officiating the service.  The service will be lived streamed at www.georgebrothersfuneral.com.

Barry was a loving husband, Dad, and PawPaw. He loved spending time on the golf course with his friends and enjoyed restoring and working on old cars.

He was preceded in death by his father George Lee Pierce, Sr., and brother CM Pierce.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Denise Pierce; daughter Amy Coble and husband Kevin; son Jason Pierce; grandson Brody Pierce; mother Bessie Pierce Canter; siblings Georgia Parsons, Linda Spencer (Craig), Sue Johnson
(John), George Pierce, Jr., Kay Chatman (Wayne), and James Canter (Vicky).  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Community Baptist Church, 1330 Burnetts Chapel Rd. Greensboro, NC 27406.
