James "Jimmy" Alfred Bishop

Mr. James “Jimmy” Alfred Bishop 79, passed away early Friday morning, September 4, 2020 at his residence.

A graveside service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Centre Friends Meeting.

Jimmy was born July 31, 1941 in Guilford County to the late Robert Preston and Sadie Rice Bishop. He was a member of Centre Friends Meeting, the Level Cross Civitan Club and the Sumner Jaycees. He was the owner and operator of Sumner Barber Shop from 1959-2015. Jimmy was loved by his family, his friends and everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Judith R. Bishop; his 2 daughters, Leisha Bishop and Karen Boone and husband Thomas; a grandson, Jesse Boone; a sister, Julia Canter and husband Jack and a special cousin, Betty Petty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC, 27203.
