James "Jimmy" David Greeson, Jr.

Mr. James “Jimmy” David Greeson, Jr., 75, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at his home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ with Reverend Kristin Gerner Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Greeson was preceded in death by his parents, James and Charlie Mabel Greeson; and sisters, Doris Reece, Carol Sawyer, and Johnnie Brown.

Jimmy loved the outdoors, meticulously caring for his yard, as well as spending time hunting and fishing.  He was a true salesman and loved his career selling agricultural feed and automobiles.  Jimmy was a long-time member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. He took the most pride in being a loving husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather, sibling and friend.  He knew no stranger and radiated his “one of a kind” loving personality on anyone he encountered.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam Greeson; son, Jamey Greeson; grandchildren, Korie Hudson (Josh) and Taylor Greeson; great-grandchildren, Blake, Charlie, and Blayne Hudson; sister, Jeanette Kirkman; as well as several nieces, nephews, family members and friends whom he loved.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
