Jeffrey Flippin Obituary

Jeffrey Neal Flippin, 55, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on May 19, 2024.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 6 pm on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Bethel Presbyterian Church in McLeansville. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

Jeff was born March 18, 1969 in Guilford County to Jimmie and Sue Collins Flippin.  His life was marked by his passion for family, sports, and service to others.  Jeff loved his children and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with his sons playing golf.   He was a graduate of Eastern Guilford High School, where he was an outstanding athlete, still holding the school's batting record. His love for sports extended beyond high school, as he enjoyed cheering for the Yankees, Dolphins, and Wolfpack throughout his life.

He attended Appalachian State University before starting a successful career as a district manager with Yandle-Witherspoon for 30 years. He was well thought of by his colleagues for his selflessness, people-oriented nature, and dedication to his work. Jeff faithfully served as a former elder of Bethel Presbyterian Church.  His generosity knew no bounds, and even in passing, Jeff continued to help others through his organ donation.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jennifer Flippin; parents, Jimmie and Sue Flippin; children, Shayne Flippin (Kalie Hicks), Jenna Brooke Flippin, and Andrew Neal Flippin (Ava Moon Flippin); grandchildren, Sophia, Tiger, and Rocky Flippin; brothers, Stephen Flippin (Lynda) and William Flippin (Nicole); father and mother-in-law, Bob and Patsy Lough; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
