Jennings G. Wise

Mr. Jennings G. Wise, 80, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.

A graveside inurnment will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Guilford Memorial Park with Pastor Brad Garrigues, Sr. officiating.

Mr. Wise was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dale Wise; parents, Graham and Zora Wise; brother, Cliff Wise; and sister, Shirley Scoggins.

Jennings was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who loved and provided for his family.  His children and his grandchildren were his life, and he also enjoyed his two dogs, Lelia and Bandit, and Buddy the parrot.  He loved to spend his free time fishing, especially for crappie, and hunting.  He enjoyed gardening, riding around in his side-by-side, shagging, and spending time at Badin Lake.  He loved Jesus and his Badin Shores Chapel family. He retired from Wysong & Miles after 56 years of service.  He served his country in the United States Army, and was stationed in Giessen, Germany.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Wise; son, Robbie Wise; daughter, Lisa White (Keith); grandchildren, Chandler, Sydney, and Alyssa; brother, David Wise (Gail), of Kinston; sister in law, Jan Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends whom he loved dearly.
