Jimmie Ronald "Cricket" Cunningham

Jimmie Ronald “Cricket” Cunningham, Sr., 75, of Charlotte, formerly of Greensboro, passed from this life on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the home of his daughter.

Funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday, June 30, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Jimmie was born October 14, 1948 in Greensboro, NC. He was a graduate of James B. Dudley High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Jimmie also made his career at A&T where he retired after many years of service.

Jimmie is survived by his children, Jimmie “Ronnie” (Myisha), Sherry, Meshea (Ishmael), and Nékivah; stepmother, Cecelia Cunningham; siblings, Lucinda, Jerome, Cedric, and Sheila; and grandchildren, Levar, Isiah, Malachi, Ivan, Micah, Justin, Patrick, Milan, and Grayson.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:00 PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the service.

A repass will follow the service with location to be provided.
