Jimmy Junior Hester

Mr. Jimmy Junior Hester, 61, passed away Monday, June 25, 2024 at his home in Summerfield.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11:00 am at Lake Brandt Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Hillsdale Primitive Baptist Church.

Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Malloy Hester; and sister, Ann Hester.

Jimmy was the owner and operator of Hester’s Appliance, and he loved his work.  He attended Lake Brandt Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Aycock Church of God. He loved to fish and visit the elderly and sick, and his favorite pass time was bee keeping.  He also loved studying his Bible and had earned many Bible certificates from East Coat Bible Institute.

He is survived by his long-time friend, Emma Peeler, who he loved and cared for many years; and cousin, Martha Scott; he also had many longtime friends whom he loved.

The family and friends will gather from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday at the church prior to the service.
