Mr. Jimmy Howard Nance, 89, of McLeansville, went home to be with his Savior on February 20, 2025.
The funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 24, 2025, at McLeansville Baptist Church. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Jimmy was born in Guilford County on June 17, 1935, to the late Edgar Elliott Nance and Hessie Carol Anderson Nance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 53 years, Belva Jean Shepherd Nance; brothers, Deward, Delmer, Ray, Ted, Leonard and Bobby; his sisters, Blanche and Mable and his great grandson, Braxton Nimmo.
Jimmy was a lifelong member of McLeansville Baptist Church. He was retired from Flynt Knits and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing lawns, farming, working on cars, trucks and tractors, and coaching ball teams. Above all, he loved the most being Grandpa, Paw-Paw, and Great Grandpa.
He is survived by his three sons, Eddie Nance (Kathy), Randy Nance (Joan), and Tracy Nance (Tammy); his grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon, Cara, Elijah, and Jadie; great grandchildren, Isaiah, Levi, Stone and Bear; his numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and his very special friend, Judy.
