JoAnn Wyrick Souther

Mrs. JoAnn Wyrick Souther, 76, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 08, 2020 at Beacon Place.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Lynwood Lakes Baptist Church with Eddie Souther, Jr. officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Myrtle Wyrick; and her sister, Linda Garner.

JoAnn was a loving wife and mother and a dedicated “Pastor’s Wife” to her husband of 58 years, Eddie R. Souther, Sr.  She was a member of Lynwood Lakes Baptist Church where he pastors.  She retired after 30 years of service with Guilford County Schools as manager of the Page High School Cafeteria.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Souther is survived by her son, Joel T. Souther, of Greensboro; son, Christopher A. Souther, of Summerfield; son, Eddie R. Souther, Jr., of McLeansville; daughter, Gena Souther Crews, of Browns Summit; granddaughter, Kellie Souther Caudle, of Julian; granddaughter, Stephanie Souther, of Winston-Salem; grandson, Eddie R. Souther, III, of Greensboro; granddaughter, Rebekah Grace Souther, of McLeansville; granddaughter, Candice Elizabeth Souther, of Summerfield; great-grandchildren, Allison Deyette, Ariel Deyette, and Eddie R. Souther, IV; sister, Alice Clark, of Browns Summit; sister, Nancy Wicker, of McLeansville; sister, Jean Combs, of Reidsville; brother, Thomas Wyrick, of McLeansville; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends whom she adored.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
