Joan Bancroft Goins

Joan Bancroft Goins, 75, of Greensboro went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital while lovingly surrounded by her family.

Memorial service will be 3:00 PM Monday, May 31, 2021 at Rankin Baptist Church on Summit Avenue.

Joan was a graduate of Greensboro Senior High, now known as Grimsley High School. She was a faithful member of Rankin Baptist Church. She was employed with Sears Mail Order and later with Sedgefield Interior Landscapes for over twenty years until her retirement. Joan’s passion was her family. She was a selfless mother and wife that found pleasure and purpose in taking care of her family. Joan always put the needs of others before her own.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Garlan D. Goins of the home; son, David Goins of Reidsville; daughter, Julie McIntyre (husband David) of Browns Summit; grandchildren, Sarah McIntyre Stewart and Evan Harrison McIntyre; and sisters, Carole Bancroft Milloway and Rebecca Lynn Bancroft.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 PM on Monday at the church prior to the service.
