Joanna B. Shaughnessy

Joanna B. Shaughnessy, 84, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at Beacon Place. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 am on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with burial to follow at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaughnessy was born February 28, 1940 in Chicago IL to the late Anthony and Isabella Chiarappa.  She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Shaughnessy, Sr.; grandson, Alan Younts, Jr; daughter-in-law, Sara Shaughnessy; and son-in-law, William Dudich.

Mrs. Shaughnessy is survived by her children, Kathryn Dudich, Donald Shaughnessy, Jr. (Julie), Susan Stewart (Edward), and Kelly Younts (Alan); grandchildren, Nicole Younts Reagan, Jesse Stewart, Kyle Dudich, Tyler Stewart, Troy Dudich, Megan Stone, Brittany Atkinson, Donald Shaughnessey, III, and Katie Buckner; and six great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Harmony, Moses Cone Hospital, and Beacon Place for their wonderful care and support for our mother.
