John William Dickerson

John William Dickerson, 84, of Greensboro died Monday, September 16, 2024 at his residence.

Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

John was born December 19, 1939 in Stuart, Virginia to the late William and Pearl Dickerson. He worked in home remodeling all his life with his good friend, Ted Gleason. John was an avid reader. In his later years, he loved to go out to breakfast with many friends. He was a Christian and had found the Lord. It didn’t take long to realize that he was a man of God through his conversations and actions. He loved giving to others, was humble and kind and never met a stranger.

Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by three sisters, Lucy, Stella, and Margaret; and his brothers, Freddy, Charles, and Bobby (Moose).

John is survived by his special nephew Richard Dickerson and wife Carol; a special niece Donna Williams; along with a host of other nieces and nephews.
