John Calvin Fields, Jr.

John Calvin Fields, Jr., 46, of Greensboro died Friday, April 2, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

John worked with his dad as a ceramic tile installer. He was known for his love of bluegrass music. He was friendly to everyone he met, and he had a big heart. But mostly, John loved his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Johnathan Garner of Greensboro and Justin Brooks of Thomasville; parents, John and Janice Fields of Greensboro; brother, Paul Fields of Greensboro; sister, Jennifer Austin (Craig) of Mansfield, GA; uncle, Gilbert Fields; aunts, Marie Long and Donna Pugh; and nieces, Natalie Jobe and Erin Hardy.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
