John "David" Grant

John “David” Grant, 79, of McLeansville died Friday, June 10, 2022 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.

Funeral will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-11:45 PM Tuesday prior to the service. Graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Guilford Memorial Park cemetery.

David was a retired truck driver after fifty years of driving. He retired from Air Products, Inc. but continued driving with Glen Moore and with Ward Farms. Driving was both his job and his hobby. David was active in the lives of his grandchildren that he loved so much. He supported them in their sports, singing, and competitions. And he carried them to Atlanta to see the Braves play as often as he was able.

David is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hall Grant and a brother, Randy Grant.

He is survived by his son, Michael Grant (Lori); daughter, Tracy Moore (Jerry); his beloved grandchildren, Victoria Sawyer (Alec), Tyler Grant, and Peyton Moore; brother, Franky Grant (Doris Ann); sister, Sandra Mitchell (Willie Gray); and a host of nieces and nephews.
