John Calvin Johnson

Mr. John Johnson, 80, of Greensboro died Saturday, April 11, 2026 at his residence.

Funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. They will have a private graveside at Guilford Memorial Park at a later date.

John was born in Guilford County, NC to the late John and Thelma Johnson. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. He retired from AT&T Inc. John was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. He also volunteered with the North Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief missions.

Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his stepfather, Don Mitchell whom he considered dad; and his brother, Tim Johnson.

John is survived by his wife, Sue Johnson of the home; son, John Allen Johnson of Greensboro; and brother, Roger Mitchell also of Greensboro.
