John Bradford Rush

Brad Rush, 66, of Greensboro, formerly of Durham died Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at AuthoraCare’s Beacon Place.

A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Brad loved to play the drums and was a member of several bands in his younger days. He loved doing anything outside including fishing, walking, and bicycling. He was also known as a big jokester always looking for laughs from those around him. But mostly Brad loved his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Brad is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Nancy Rush and a sister, Gail Rush.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Rush; son, Jason Rush (Christina) of Carolina Shores; daughter, Kendall Moser (Travis) of Oak Ridge; daughter, Megan Snow (Andrew) of Greensboro; brothers, Don Rush of Hickory and James Rush of Greensboro; and grandchildren, Addison Moser and Lucy Moser.

A special thank you is extended to Shirley and James Rush for their care and compassion during Brad’s illness.
