Joshua Alex Bailey, born in Greensboro on September 21, 1988, passed away on September 23, 2024. He was a devoted father to his 5-year-old son, Harley. Joshua spent his life in Greensboro, where he found joy in his work with Traffic Control. He had a passion for fishing and seized every opportunity to enjoy it. However, nothing brought him more joy than being with his son, family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 12:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Randy Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm prior to the service.
Joshua is survived by his son, Harley; his mother, Hope Annette Mabe; his brothers, Matthew Bailey, Thomas Bailey, and Joseph Wiggins; his sister, Emily Metts Futrell, and her husband, Damon; and his nephews, Asher, Brett, Hudson, and Hunter. He also leaves behind his beloved grandparents, Buddy and Nanny, along with numerous uncles and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dwain Bailey; his grandmother, Dorothy Bailey; his great-grandparents, Terry and Elise Mabe; and his stepsister, Amanda Jones.
Joshua will be remembered for his enormous heart, warmth, and kindness, which touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
