Julia Ann Melvin

Ms. Julia Ann Melvin, 84, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at Murdoch Developmental Center.

A graveside inurnment will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 4:00 pm at Hines Chapel Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lacy and Polly Hughes Melvin; and sisters, Billie Sue Melvin Bailey and Betty Jean Melvin Holt.

Julia lived a happy life with a child-like simplicity always with a wide smile always loving her chickens and kittens.  She lived at and was very happy at her Murdoch home.

Ms. Melvin is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends whom she loved.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC.
