Kathy Gwen James

Our adventurous, fun loving, big hearted, loyal friend passed away peacefully.  Kathy fought a lengthy tough battle with cancer and is at long last without pain and celebrating in peace.  She never stopped living even when she was dying. 

Retired from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Department.  She was particularly proud of her work assisting in the establishment of the Family Victim’s Unit decades ago.

Kathy was openly loving and living life.  She loved riding her Spyder, attending bike rallies, an excellent fisher, and an avid car buff.

She touched and inspired many lives and shared lifetime memories with more than most.  Her smile was contagious and her heart huge.  The world is a better place because of her.

Respecting her wishes there will be no service.  If you would like to celebrate Kathy’s life do what she would do – listen to a stranger, make a new friend, and hold tight to your ole friends.
