Kenneth Stanley Lawing

Mr. Kenneth Stanley Lawing, 95, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at McLeansville Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Barnette officiating.  Burial will take place on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 9:00 am at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Philadelphia cruiser in the Atlantic during WWII.  He was a member of McLeansville Baptist Church where he was a choir member.  He retired from the City of Greensboro after many years of service; and in his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, being outdoors, and he really loved his dogs.

Mr. Lawing is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Lawing; son, Kenneth Joe Lawing, and his wife Stacy; grandchildren, Russel and Shawn Franklin; great-grandchildren, Amethyst, Brynlee, Lillith, and Finn; as well as many friends who will miss him greatly.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 am on Saturday at the church prior to the service.
