Kenzie Wrenn Scoggins, 5, of Siler City passed away on Sunday, September 18 at her home following her courageous battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive brain tumor.
Funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 25, 2022 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian.
Kenzie was full of life and loved everyone she ever met. She would bring sunshine and rainbows to everyone in her presence as she fiercely fought her illness with bravery. She loved to watch Disney movies especially her favorite character, Stitch.
Kenzie is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ralph Barley, Sr.
She leaves behind her parents, Nicholas and Meghan Scoggins; maternal grandmother, Lynn Barley; paternal grandparents, Mark and Karen Scoggins; maternal great grandparents, Nana and Paw Aydelette; paternal great grandparents, Ken and Jane Campbell and Betty Scoggins; uncles and aunts, Keith and Mary Scoggins, Ralph and Amanda Barley, and Hunter Barley along with a host of family, friends, and caregivers.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday evening at the funeral home.
