Kimberly Dawn (Ellington) Shaw

Kimberly Dawn Shaw “Kimmy,” of Greensboro, passed away September 20, 2025 in her home.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Kimberly was born in Guilford County, NC to the late Louise Ellington and Arthur Junior Ellington. She was raised in the small town of Stokesdale, NC and graduated from Northwest Guilford High School. She also studied at ECPI University. Kimmy had a fun and outgoing personality and was known for her quirky ways which her family treasured. She loved her family deeply but quietly. She enjoyed music, drawing, and her knick-knack collections. Kimmy passed down the art of tying a string to June Bug. More than anything, Kimberly was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and partner who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three children, Dillon Shaw, Haley Holmes, and Cassidy Williamson; 3 grandchildren; her siblings Bruce Ellington and Ricky Ellington; 2 nephews and 3 nieces; boyfriend of 13 years Wesley Duncan and his children Maci Wilson and Will Duncan.
