Mr. Larry Mitchell Godwin, 70, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at The Oaks of Alamance.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Aycock Fellowship with Pastor Ira Godwin and Pastor Donnie Pickeral officiating.
Born in Greensboro, NC where he lived most of his life. Larry lived in Burlington, NC at the time of his passing.
Larry had a love for dancing and was committed to everything his professor in college taught him. He would always say “that’s what my professor said and how right he was” when he was discussing today’s society trends. LOL. He still had his flight logbook from his escapades prior to his TBI.
He never missed a chance to ask about his family. “How’s dad, Michelle”? He always asked how his nephews Mitch & Eric, and brother-in-law, Carter Braxton Cartrette were all doing and to tell them hello.
Larry is predeceased by his loving mother Karen Adele Betts Godwin 02/23/1936 –12/06/2013
