Larry Douglas Johnson

Mr. Larry Douglas Johnson, 77, of Greensboro, passed away on April 14, 2023, at his residence.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 18th, from 6-8:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Mr. Johnson was born in Guilford County on May 28, 1945, to the late Thamar and Frances Spivey Johnson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Michael Johnson.  He was retired from UNCG after fifteen years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faythe B. Johnson; sons, Larry Wayne Johnson (Glenn) and Gregory Douglas Johnson; his sisters, Rachel Lawrence, Elizabeth Caffin, Franceline Gibbs, and Jo Anne Freeman; grandchildren, Bailey Douglas Johnson (Logan) and Matthew Evan Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
