Laura Bell (Simpson) McDaniel

Mrs. Laura Bell Simpson McDaniel, 78, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at L & H Agape Family Care Home.

A graveside service will be 11:00am Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Barkley officiating.

Mrs. McDaniel was born in Guilford County, was an avid reader, enjoyed watching all types of movies, and loved going to the beach.  She loved going out to dinner with family and friends, enjoyed her jewelry, and going to the flea market.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard McDaniel; son, Kimball McDaniel; parents, Lindsay and Gertrude Simpson; sister, Nellie; and brother, Jack.

Laura is survived by her son, Randy McDaniel (Kathy) of Greensboro; brother, W.B. Simpson (Rochelle), Lindsay Simpson, and Clyde Simpson; grandchildren Taylor Fulk (Tanner) and Shane McDaniel; special care giver, Hazel Forman; special friend,  Betty Frazier; and a host of family and friends whom she loved.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to AuthoraCare (Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro), 2500 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405.

Mrs. McDaniel’s body will lie in state from 10:00-10:30 am on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service for viewing.
